Untamed beauty

05282003-18121827

The sunrise avoids your stare,
for she looks less graceful in your presence.
The morning sun is subdued - it's bare,
she glances away from your radiance.

A breath of your puzzling innocent style,
hides the thoughts within your lovely eyes.
What secrets lie beneath your meek exile?
What truths abound in your silent goodbyes?

Even the songbirds come to admire you,
but you are always ahead of their disguise.
They hum, they sing, they even coo,
try they can, but you are no prize.

A gentle smile, a watchful look,
choosing to be the exquisite wife.
Your soft lips tease, yet in your book,
you are the mystery in their lives.

Last night

0603200319291944

Last night was a bliss of possibilities.
What ifs & what could have been.
The fresh memory of your presence,
seated gracefully and lovingly in front of me.

Last night was a burden - unloaded.
Issues - uncleared, unspoken, and unmentioned.
Though questions lingered and waited,
in my mind, I did not dare ask.

Last night I said goodbye, but admired.
You who were there, you who let me in.
I stood up, fumbled with small words - departed.
Resounded - I left with would and could have been.

Last night I missed you as soon as I left.
The thought of you was held constantly in my mind.
I liked you so much, these feelings flung in the open.
To know you, to see you again, and to wish for you.

Last night I prayed to dream of only you,
and of possibilities I knew I hoped.
There in my dreams I heard my self spoke,
"I love you," softy and gently I whispered.

Poetry Friday

Puddles

I
Splattering traces of brown and black,

against the white and pink of your dress.

Your feet landed on puddles of mud,

the rain spits out hues at your gaiety.

II

Footsteps of a ballerinas' accolade,

pirouettes and fouettes executed passionately.

Waltzing drizzles of steady drums of thunder,

soaked your lavished hair and your pale skin.

War Cry

a0527200912051213m

Ions scatter minutely in the night,
chaotic dance in the thermosphere.
Starless night awaits - ever wary
from the grumblings of the western sky.

A jolt of wave excites each particle,
like a shimmering news of gamma rays.
Turning bright luminous fantasies,
the rebirth of an implosion of sorts.

A fearless zigzag of outburst,
thunderclouds of the god's galloping horses.
Signal of Thor's elegant frightful power,
to strike without prejudice - this earth declared war.

Less than a second, it proudly strikes,
catching the guiltless ground - aflame.
Silent warrior of a whim of a thought,
the cycle starts again.

JenaIsle of Gewgaw writings is willing to give 1000 EC credits to the person who can give the interpretation of this poem. Of course, I will be the judge of that. Good luck guys. Come on, this will be fun. There are no wrong answers. ;) Okay, I'll add another 1000 ECs.
