A poet's meal: Oven baked

0531200910371049

Mornings are gloriously greeted,
with infinite calls from the kitchen.
Sumptuous melting words lingered,
in tongue filled ideas.

The aroma of a steaming fresh thought,
teases the hungry air for more.
Breath of sweet finger-licking fantasy,
of fragrant living letters.

Inspirations are recipes of dreams,
slowly awakened to life.
Delicacies once surreal,
now walked the roads of existence.

Creation of immortal freedom,
full of expression and vivacity.
Journeys becoming legends,
of living and working passion.

As the clock reverberates sentience,
to this - oven baked poem.
Famined readers impatiently crave,
for the bountiful luscious feast.

Offered generously - wisdom filled
picturesque sagacious meal.
A home cooked masterpiece
this humble poet's satisfaction.

Poetic Shutterbug

I am humbled by your words,
mine escaped.
Searched gifts for ladies and lords,
of various shapes.

Awards fit not to honor you,
but permanent links.
Icon of a friendship that is true,
not a childish wink.

Garden playgrounds with fields of gold,
to start.
Memories awaiting endlessly to be told,
your work of art.

War Cry

a0527200912051213m

Ions scatter minutely in the night,
chaotic dance in the thermosphere.
Starless night awaits - ever wary
from the grumblings of the western sky.

A jolt of wave excites each particle,
like a shimmering news of gamma rays.
Turning bright luminous fantasies,
the rebirth of an implosion of sorts.

A fearless zigzag of outburst,
thunderclouds of the god's galloping horses.
Signal of Thor's elegant frightful power,
to strike without prejudice - this earth declared war.

Less than a second, it proudly strikes,
catching the guiltless ground - aflame.
Silent warrior of a whim of a thought,
the cycle starts again.

The Ice King's Vow

p0524200901160128m

Unravelled thoughts of misty fumes,
omnipresent vapors slowly consume.

A landslide of a passionate embrace,
drowns all, other emotions - disgraced.

A vow of unending splendor,
of delighted feeling and vigor.

The world shall be trapped in solid ice,
covered in glaciers of my desire - enticed.

I shall sacrifice this mortal kingdom for you,
this struggling fervor of tundra so true.

Fervent fury of this unending winter,
this frozen life I want to share with you forever.

This was an invitation to Jenn's poetry challenge

Describe love as ice. Don’t use the word “love” or “heart”

Shy Guitar

a0522200912491256m

Looking from a gentle blue curtain,
movements frozen from view.
Unmoving like a patient mullein,
your skin losing its golden brown hue.

You gave birth to all my frustrations,
still modest in all your ways.
Turned them into inspirations,
hiding from the crowds prying gaze

Mornings and dawns bewilder our passion,
our voices transcend all exasperated demos.
Songs about loss, life, triumph, love and affection,
no walls thick enough to muffle our echoes.

Notes, chords, and melodies of existence,
the life of each song hangs on each strum.
Worn out lines on your nervous endurance,
to come out from your hidden worried chasm.
